Project Partner/Overview:  We are teaming up with Operation Christmas Child to pack shoe boxes for disadvantged children around the world. Friday, October 10 – Saturday, October 11, 2014 – Detroit, MI

Project Partner/Overview:  Our signature weekend volunteer-vacation – two days of volunteer projects to help revitalize the City of Detroit. Projects include: Planting trees throughout the city; painting the exterior of schools and recreational centers; making minor home repairs; constructing a safety fence; landscaping; and planting flower beds.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday

Sunday, August 24, 2014 – Berkeley, CA

Project Partner/Overview: Working with the Committee for South African Solidarity (COSAS) to sort and pack school supplies to ship to Rheenendal Primary School in Western Cape South Africa.

Saturday, August 23, 2014 – Washington, DC

Project Partner/Overview: D.C. Beautification Day – An annual District of Columbia Public Schools citywide “spruce up” event of all D.C. public school buildings in preparation for the first day of school. Beautification activities will include:  landscaping, trash pick-up, light painting, planting flowers and other external beautification efforts.

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Friday, July 18, 2014 – Atlanta, GA

Project Partner/Overview: Mandela DayOgilvy & Mather Atlanta and its Black Diaspora Professional Network team up with T.R.I.P. to launch a social media takeover to raise awareness about the importance of volunteerism and making a positive difference in communities. This all-day campaign pays homage to the late and great Nelson Mandela — world leader and pioneer of activism and social change.

Saturday, July 12, 2014 – Far Rockaway, NY

Project Partner/Overview: Friends of Rockaway – Help families rebuild their homes after the devastation of Super Storm Sandy. Volunteer activities will include: spackling, skim coating, sanding and painting. No skilled or construction experience required.

Time: 8:45 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
